Dougie Hendrix is an independent hiphop and R&B artist originally from Wilmington, NC. Currently residing in the Charlotte, NC area, Hendrix is  heating up the scene with his fresh sound and drive to be successful. 

 

 

    Dougie was inspired by his Stepmother who urged him to pursue taking his talent seriously due to his constant humming and inclined ear. At the early age of 8, Dougie practiced and developed his now mature voice and skill to create some of the finest tracks among the independent scene.  

 

   In 2016, Dougie Hendrix released a song featuring Trina called “Money”.

 

  In 2019-2020 Hendrix was incarcerated, hindering progress on the process. Once released, Hendrix understood his time and freedom were amongst his most precious tools and decided to turn from his past and pour into hisself to create the life he deserves. Hendrix wants to be remembered for being “The King of Harmonies” as he brings a harmonious touch in his sound. 

 

   Dougie Hendrix draws inspiration from legends like Ark Thomas, Alicia Keys, Avant, India Arie, Musiq Soulchild and R Kelly. 

  

  Key figures cited to work with are Da Baby, Gunna, Justin Beiber, Giveon, Brandy and Method Man. 

 

  Dougie Hendrix plans to release a full project at the top of 2022.
